Easter Weekend!!!

I know I'm a week behind on Easter, but I've been crazy busy. Friday night the kids got to go to Grandma Yoder's and decorate eggs. Decorating eggs with grandma has become a great tradition she started with them. (I don't have pictures because I wasn't there..Jerimae and I took advantage of the time and went out on a date). Sunday was awesome. We had a lot of visitors that came to our church campus and 12 adults and 4 kids that morning gave their lives to Christ!!! Then we had 230 kids at the Easter Egg Hunt. We had a helicopter come in and drop Webkinz for the kids. Then we had a raffle of a bunch of bikes and Easter baskets, and Kaleb won one of the Easter baskets. It had a couple of huge motorcycles and candy. Needless to say, he was ecstatic. Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Yoder's for lunch and had an Easter egg hunt in the house with the eggs the boys decorated. That evening we went to Trever's birthday party. It was a long day, but full of fun.

Birthday Boy

This week we celebrated Zarek's 5th birthday. It blows my mind how fast my kids are growing up. On Sunday we got together with grandparents, uncle, aunt, and nephews to celebrate. Just a quaint party. Then on Tuesday, March 11th, (his birthday) we celebrated with a breakfast of his choice..pancakes, eggs and turkey bacon. Then we went to Soccer Zone (an indoor facility with a bunch of those inflatable bouncers and slides). It was a blast and forgetful me forgot to bring the camera to capture the memories. Then we went out for lunch, his choice...Chick-Fil-A. Then we came home, where he then got his present from daddy and mama. A brand new bicycle. He was ecstatic. He rode his bike for a very long time. I thank God for every moment and every year that He gives me with my kids. I'm so blessed!!!

New Interests

Yesterday Kaleb and Zarek were watching a show about underground cities on the History Channel and it inspired a creation of their own. I was very impressed with their creation that I thought it deserved to be posted. Below you will see some pictures of their underground city.





Another one of Kaleb's new interests are Egypt, mummies and pharoahs. He came to me a few weeks ago and said "Mama you have to make me one of those things that goes around the Pharoahs neck and a crown....so below you can check out the new costume. Kaleb is very dramatic. He loves to really dress the part when he plays.



Later that day I found him with two rolls of paper towel. I asked what he was doing with the paper towels. He said that he was going to dress up like a mummy, but we were out of toilet paper and he was going to use paper towel instead. I explained to him that they actually used strips of cloth to wrap up the people, so I told him that I would cut up an old sheet that I had and he could use those instead. I haven't had a chance to make the strips yet, but when I do, I'm sure there will be pictures to follow.

I've joined the blog world

I've just recently been introduced to the blog world. I've been contemplating since then whether or not to start one myself and as you can see I went ahead with it. I'm not much of a writer/journalist, but I wanted somewhere where I can collect my memories of my 3 most adorable children. There are so many times when they do or say something so funny or adorable and I don't want to forget those moments. So the main reason for this blog is to collect memories of my family and share them with friends and extended family (especially those we don't get to see very often). I also love to create all kinds of things whether its sewing, painting, drawing, cooking or knitting (just started knitting) and I will share those with you also.
